Signia hearing aids are not only high quality, the company also focuses on ease of use and independence. For example, many hearing aids can be adjusted through the app and an AI assistant can be used, giving you an audiologist in your pocket, so to speak. Would it be something for me?
It’s a question we get frequently: is this hearing aid for me? Unfortunately, the answer is not that simple. That’s because a hearing aid is something very personal, entirely dependent on your needs and desires. Think for example about your degree of hearing loss or certain functions you would like. Good advice is therefore essential. Fortunately, we have our hearing care specialists in our store in Krommenie for that purpose. They will be happy to help you make the right choice. What is the price of a Signia hearing aid?
What a hearing aid will cost you depends on a number of factors: basic insurance, your deductible, co-payment and any additional insurance. It is also important in which category you fall according to the hearing protocol. We explain it to you step by step.
Based on a questionnaire, hearing test and conversation with the hearing care professional, you will be placed in one of five categories. This has to do with your degree of hearing loss and your necessary needs. When you choose a hearing aid from the category in which you are classified, your health insurance will cover (part of) the costs.
The basic insurance covers up to 75% of the costs, provided you no longer have a deductible. If you still have this, it will be drawn on first before the insurance takes effect. The remaining 25% is your own contribution. In principle you pay this yourself, unless you have supplementary insurance. Do you no longer have a deductible and are you additionally insured for your full co-payment? Then your hearing aid is completely free.
A hearing aid from the outer category
It is also possible to purchase a hearing aid that is not covered by the hearing protocol. We call this a hearing aid from the outer category or the private market. These are usually the very advanced hearing aids with extended functionalities. They can do more than the necessary needs and therefore do not fall under a category, but you may want those specific functionalities. When you choose a hearing aid from the outer category, it is not covered by the health insurance company and you pay for it entirely yourself.
