impulse noise. The filter is ANSI IPIL certified to a maximum of 166 dB, where it provides attenuation of 33 dB. When there are no noise peaks, Crescendo Shooting offers low attenuation of ambient noise. This keeps speech and background noise audible and maintains the direction of sound with a minimal amount of sealing. This is unlike foam, electronic protection and earmuffs. The small size and comfortable medical-grade earplugs make the product ideal for everyday use. In addition, the earplugs fit unobtrusively under communication headsets and earmuffs. This multimode version of the Crescendo Shooting has a switch on top of the filter. One simple push of a button puts the filter into total blocking mode. This is useful for high noise situations, such as at shooting ranges and during rapid fire.
