Are these hearing aids for me?
Whether a hearing aid is right for you we can’t tell you like this. This is because a hearing aid depends very much on your personal wishes and needs. The price of a Phonak hearing aid
Unfortunately, we cannot give you the price of a hearing aid directly. This is because what it will cost you depends on the hearing protocol and your (additional) health insurance. Moreover, it is important to know whether and how much deductible you have left.
On the basis of a questionnaire, hearing test and conversation with the audiologist, you will be classified in 1 of 5 categories, depending on your needs. If you choose a hearing aid from the category in which you are classified, the basic insurance will cover 75% of the costs, minus your deductible. If you have already used your deductible, you will be reimbursed the full 75%. The remaining 25% is your own contribution. You pay this part of the costs yourself, unless you have supplementary insurance for this. A hearing aid can be free of charge!
Do you choose a hearing aid from a higher category? Then the reimbursements from the category in which you are classified still apply. You must pay the additional costs yourself.
Hearing aids in the outer category
There are also hearing aids that are not covered by the hearing protocol. These are the out-of-category hearing aids. They are generally the very sophisticated hearing aids with a whole host of wonderful – but not always necessary – features. Whereas the hearing protocol aims to provide a hearing aid that meets your necessary needs, you may simply want more. You then buy on the private market. However, out-of-category hearing aids are not reimbursed by the health insurance company, so you pay for them entirely yourself.
