What does an Oticon hearing aid cost?
The price of each hearing aid consists of several parts, which also depend on each other: your deductible, basic insurance, co-payment and any additional insurance.
First, it is determined what kind of hearing aid you need. This is done on the basis of a questionnaire and consultation with the audiologist. Based on this so-called hearing protocol you will be classified in a category from 1 to 5. If you choose a hearing aid from the category in which you are classified, the health insurance company will reimburse (part of) the costs.
The basic insurance reimburses 75% of the costs provided you no longer have a deductible. Otherwise, your outstanding deductible will be deducted from this. The remaining 25% is the personal contribution. You pay this yourself, unless you have supplementary insurance for this. Do you no longer have a deductible and are you additionally insured for the deductible? Then your hearing aid is free of charge.
There are also hearing aids that are not covered by the hearing protocol. These are the out-of-category hearing aids. These devices are generally very advanced and are not categorized. If you choose a hearing aid from the outer category, it will not be reimbursed by the health insurance company and you will pay for it entirely yourself.
