At Horend Goed, we understand how important it is to address hearing problems in children with care and attention. What makes us unique and makes us a Child Friendly Audiologist are our walk-in consultations for swim plugs and hearing protection, specifically geared toward children. On Wednesday and Saturday afternoons, we see more than 20 children each afternoon for ear impressions. Although swim caps are not hearing aids, these walk-in consultations give us a good idea of the needs of children and their parents.

Wednesday Afternoon and Saturday Afternoon:
During these afternoons, you can drop in without an appointment to have impressions made for swim caps or ear pieces. We can even make impressions for babies as young as two weeks old. This is essential because babies can also be born hearing impaired. We work closely with all Audiology Centers and base our work on a prescription.

At Horend Goed, we believe it is important that our audiologists have a good rapport with children. Trust is key, which is why we devote 99% of our attention to your child. We want the impression taking to be done in a familiar environment and for your child to make their own choices about the colors and designs of the hearing aids and earmolds.
- Choice in Color:
Your child can choose from different colors for the hearing aid, tone bend and tubing. In addition, there are numerous options for the earpieces, such as pictures, colors, glitter and flowers. Parents are welcome to contribute ideas, too, of course! - Individual Attention:
Each child is unique and we enjoy helping them in a personal and calm manner. We provide clarity about what will happen and adapt to the needs of your child and the audiology center.
